The menu is arranged in a circle – so you always know where you are in the process of creating the NC program. We take you by the hand and work through the settings and tasks clockwise. Each position shows you only the parameters that are still required. The wonderful thing is that the NC code is generated in the background and errors are immediately detected, highlighted and thus avoided. But if you want it quick and easy, just press the Fast Forward button – and the NC output is ready, fully automated!

The Play button

XPRESSCAM impresses with its simplicity. The play button in the center of the EDM-PiLOT is all you need to intuitively create an NC programme. Complex menus or remembering a multitude of icons are simply no longer necessary.

Definition of the coordinate system for program output on the workpiece (e.g. corner points, model edges, drilling centres, etc.), setting the axis alignment in X-Y-Z (via rotation of the axis alignment); Determination of the workpiece material; selection of the wire diameter & wire material, the EDM machine; alignment of the workpiece coordinate system and other machine settings.

Raw material detection via the workpiece description using the workpiece box or a user-defined workpiece. Dimensions in X-Y-Z, selection of the workpiece material and specification of the desired cutting height.
